| Digitally edited from VHS footage, this volume is dedicated to railway freight
activities in the Buxton area between 1989 and 1991. The cameraman’s local knowledge results in some interesting camera viewpoints in the area, many of which are no longer accessible today. Most trains feature the renowned ICI vacuum hopper wagons en route to their destinations of Hindlow, Northwich and Miles Platting, including the Sunday diversions which traversed the Buxton to Manchester passenger branch. Locomotives captured included Classes 20, 31 and 37 at the following locations: Buxton Up Sidings (Donohue), Buxton Station, Topley Pike, Blackwell Mill, Great Rocks, Harpur Hill, Hindlow, Briggs Sidings, New Mills etc. No commentary -- With location captions |
